The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital is a large tertiary level facility providing health services to the population of Brisbane and Queensland. The hospital was in need of a comprehensive clinical services plan. The plan’s goal was to improve the health service delivery and business performance to better meet the needs of a population, including the most effective use of resources.
The project required detailed data analysis of current service utilisation, including acute and outpatient hospital activity. Activity and infrastructure projections were calculated using approved Queensland Health tools and guidelines.
The Health Service Plan submitted by Carramar Consulting was developed and endorsed by the Executive Team of the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. The health service plan provided extensive detail regarding future planning opportunities, including the consultation and communication strategy to maximise engagement by key stakeholders.
