Queensland Children’s Hospital Project

Project Description

The Queensland Children’s Hospital project was the development of a tertiary level paediatric facility on a complex Brownfield site. The project brought together two tertiary level paediatric facilities into the one facility and involved all stages of infrastructure planning from design to commissioning.

Carramar’s Role

As Executive Director, Jane held responsibility for all aspects of the development and design of this $1.4 billion health infrastructure and services undertaking. This included extensive collaboration, consultation, decision making and high level advice to Government.

Outcome

The business case was accepted by Cabinet and the project continued on budget and on schedule during and after Carramar’s involvement. Jane was awarded the Queensland Health Australia Day Achievement Award for her work on this project.
